South Lodberrie is a unique property located in the heart of Lerwick, Shetland, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and tranquility.

The Lodberries (Old Norse hladberg, meaning landing rock) were originally used as waterfront stores. Our house is just a few steps from the famous Bain's Beach and sits right next door to "Da Lodberrie"—the most photographed building in Shetland, well-known as the private residence of DI Jimmy Perez in the TV show Shetland.

In July 2021, we visited Shetland for the fifth time and fell in love with South Lodberrie after staying here for a month. After wonderful conversations with the lovely previous owners, Ingrid and Mike, we decided to buy it.

We plan to live here as much as possible, but the house is available for weekly rentals when we are away.
